I'm a newbie to TC firearms, I found what they're calling an Encore with a Kendrick Texas Contender 223rem barrel. The buttstock has the Yellowstone commemorative coin inlay on the right hand side.....I want to know if I am looking at an actual Encore or possibly a Kendrick custom carbine?

I can't find any information about this buttstock, the medallion is a commemorative Yellowstone coin
Yeah, got it. Pics look good.
TC/Contender frame ( 1st gen. With engraved Puma)
Nice comemeratve stock.
Barrel is a relatively unknown to me. Only hearsay .Never saw one.
Gotta watch out for the extractor. If shot using 5.56 Nato. The higher pressure might have stuck some empties.
Tough to get out & the extractor blade bends. ( easy fix).
Good 20” barrels are close to 400 bucks now . So if it’s your thing. 650 ain’t gonna murder you when you can get another Bbl. and have two guns.
So what I've determined Fred Kendrick made rifle length barrels to achieve Contender carbines some time before TC started.
Guns.com has it listed as an Encore, not a Contender.
As my research has determined that G1 receivers are not compatible with G2 and Encore barrels, correct?

My understanding is that G1 receiver pictured ( as a rifle ,in it’s parts & configuration) will accept some G2 Bbls.
I have read that most Bbls are compatible as long as they are TC/Contender . The plated “Armaloy” stainless looking barrels would pose a problem in “ fitting” the plated metal parts ( pin & hingepin hole)
Best to call the aftermarket suppliers of Barrels. SSK ind. Firearms ( LehighDefense) Bullberry, Bellm, Eabco, MGM, Etc.
