Want to know how Muzzle Brakes Work?

We get this question all the time... How do muzzle brakes reduce recoil?

Muzzle Brakes redirect propellant gases to counter recoil and unwanted rising of the barrel. Basically this means that when you fire a rifle without a muzzle brake, all the gases that are traveling behind the bullet, fire forward out the muzzle. Science tells us that every action has a reaction. Therefore, when the gases fire forward, your rifle fires backward, into your shoulder.

A Witt Machine Muzzle Brake evenly disperses the gases out the side ports, as well as, the top ports. This takes away about 60% of the gases going forward and therefore, it takes away about 60% of the recoil of the rifle.
