I have a handi rifle in max and never had any brass. Might check grey bread outdoor. Lots o people have set up NEF /handi rifles in MAX...
You could backorder it at midway etc.. but it seems REM has stopped making it temporally. You still had to wait a year or more.

found this with a quick search

Graf & Sons - JAMISON BRASS 357 MAXIMUM UNPRIMED PER 100 - Graf & Sons

I may have to give them a call.

357 max

yes that's why I bought the brass but my reloading manuals which list the 357 max have a very large difference in charges guess I will load about midway and work up to middle of the top one . I cant believe how much difference there is. as you stated one is just above 357 mag load

You can also use 360DW brass. It offers more volume than 357 mag.

i don't think I would use 357 mag brass to do a load for the 357 max the brass is almost 3/8 th. of an inch longer than 357 mag buy from Midway of another dealer.

I found these at Midway

When the 357 Super Mag (Elgin Gates) came out as the Rem Max, there was no production brass available. I had two of the first production Ruger SRM handguns off the line, sent to me, by Steve Vogel, VP Ruger. For about a year I shot near 357 SM loads in 357 Mag brass with absolutely no ill effect. I say Near, because the mag case will not hold the SM powder volume and bullet together. But the mag in a SM chamber is somewhat similar to the 38 Spl in a 357 mag chamber. This cartridge clambering was designed for heavy bullets like the 180 to 200gr rifle bullets. In a single shot it is very effective and a single shot rifle is pretty amazing when loaded properly. I have owned a couple Rugers and a couple TCs and about a dozen DW revolves in this 357 clambering and I built two 357 SM rifles based on the Martini Cadet action for this cartridge. I was told it could not be done, so I built two. :-)

You can also buy brass direct from Starline.
