Deer and Elk 12 gage sabot slug?

Deer season is approaching here in Washington and last time I checked I can still hunt. Anybody else use a sabot slug gun? The first shot is just high and right of center and the rest are a result of anticipating getting mule kicked when you brave another shot. Even with the black hawk shock absorbing stock it's a handful and the trigger is stock. My shots would be 125 yards max.

Nice!..........all kill shots except the low one

scoped, heavily compensated slugsters are hugely popular here due to the dense underbrush and mostly short distance shots.
seems like a hundred years ago I took my 1st deer with a "punkin ball" from a smooth-bore Springfield bolt action.......+/- 30 yard shot with a bead site.
Well i'm just all broke up about that mans rights !!

My first deer was with a Mossberg 395 KB an ugly bolt action with an adjustable choke. These sabots are a hole nutha level.

Got to remember that using sabot ammo in a smooth bore is just a waste of money. In a smooth bore SG use the regular "rifled" slug. If you have a rifled SG barrel then sabots are for you. I have a Browning A Bolt 12 gauge rifled bore that gets real close to MOA accuracy with a 4X scope, you must get a really tough scope though as the recoil of the 12 gauge slug will really beat up a cheap scope-and the owner also!
