Would someone please ban him. I have reported him a few times already for just being annoying and never contributing anything; but this post has just put me over the edge, being prior service and going back into the Army in the near future. I've only been back around here for a few days and I'm thinking about just finding another place for Mini information so I don't have to put up with reading all this BS in every thread; I don't know how the rest of you have put up with this for the last month.

I, too, have reported a few of his posts for the same reasons. There is no place for that kind of posting here. Two and a half weeks ago (yeah, it's only been that long, though it feels like ages...) this was a helpful forum. It still is, but you have to read between any posts that 'Ruger' has posted.

If you will click his username, then 'View Public Profile,' then 'User Lists' at the top, you will see an option to 'Add to Ignore List." If you click this option, you will no longer see the content of his posts. You'll still see that he's posted, but you will not be able to see what he said.

Yes, I had contemplated that... but it is slightly entertaining, and it has gotten to the point that entire threads are derailed with multiple users commenting on his post; and it really wouldn't make any sense to start ignoring half the active users here...

In my mind Battle Rifle means a rifle firing a full power military round not an intermediate caliber like the 5.56. I fill the battle rifle role with a No4 Mk2 Enfield. Whats not to like with a 10 round magazine, charger/stripper clip fed, accurate enough with iron sights to make hits as far as the eye can see that shoots a cartridge thats taken every animal in the world.

I think you could consider the AR a battle rifle if they would bring back the 20'' barrel with the 1:7 twist so you could shoot the heavier bullets like the 77-80gr. Thats about as close to a battle rifle as the 5.56 is gonna get.

Edit: I use a Ruger PC9, you would be surprised how well they shoot.
I have an old beretta 92s..... I've won pistol matches with it, YES, a 9 is a good middle caliber. No, its never going to stop going thru walls in your house . .223 out a shorter bbl. is much ; WAY; better for [safety-wise] home defense. IMHO ... Dino in Pgh.
