A friend of mine has just dissassembled the mag release on his newly aquired mini 14 stainless (I swear it wasn't me) We are now having a little trouble getting it back together. Any hints or advise anyone?

Thanks

I have always started the pin through and then fitted the spring into place while sliding the pin into it before pushing all the way in. Using the pin as a slave pin helps. It takes three hands sometimes, this is a difficult part to put back in.
