Hopes this helps people, even 6.8 mags for the Mini-14, 5, 10, 20 rounders.
http://www.gunclips.net/rumise.html
I got them by mail all perfect condition. Oh note the price 10 bucks cheaper on the promags for the 20 rounders than on the promag site.

Please do not make the mistake I did by ordering from these thieves.
I placed an order for 3 Thermold Mini-30 magazine 14 months ago & still nothing.
They are still advertising them on their web site.
They've given me nothing but excuses.

I also bought a Pro Mag for my HK USP, it was also sub standard & faild to feed where the much more expensive factory mag is 100% reliable.

Bought 6 Ruger 20s from Hoffmans. They are here quickly, they are real and they were cheap. Thanks Happy1

So, going by this thread, I can see everyone is high on the ProMag 20 rounders. I don't like the 20rd mags though. Are the 30 round ProMags just as good?
I don't like the fact that they don't have anti-tilt followers and such but the spring seems nice and the quality is pretty good from what I can tell. What do you guys think? Fixing to buy some.

I have a 183GB, 196RR, and 580Tactical, I can use the current Promags in all of them. Both 20s and 30s. The olders ones took some fitting and in some cases had to be segragated by gun. (183,196). Until the Ruger mags became easily available these were my choice. My experience is not universal to the board, some members say they are just junk. With Hoffmans seliing 20 rounders for 20 bucks are the Promags that much of a bargain? Everything I've bought recently is Ruger factory and I'm thinking that's the way it will stay unless the supply dries up. One other thing, it seems the Ruger mags are easier to insert in the mag well with the bolt closed when loaded.

A little late on the update but you all will be happy with my mason mag experience. Ive been using them now 3-4 years along with my PMI mags I would say they are just as good as PMI their only downside is the finish is some kind of enamel rather than a hot bluing like the PMI's.
More recently Ive bought some the tapco intrafuse mags these things are phenomenal magazines for now on If I need a mag these are my go to mags. you guys should check'em out!!

I have a factory Ruger 30. That's it though when it comes to the factory mags. The others I use are TAPCO. Those are fine for me even under hard use .. but the only thing is I've gone through several because the hole in the front wears out. Not good!
Found out the other day that TAPCO has pushed back the Gen 2 release date till the NRA show. Just a little update there!
I will probably buy a couple of ProMags and try them out. if they don't work right, I'll go another route.
P.S. Anyone like Triple K?

I've got 2 promag 30 round polymer mags I picked up at a gun show a few years ago for $10 each. Other than a few failures to lock the bolt open, they work great. I've never had a real feeding issue except for one time I stretched the springs a wee bit. Ended up being too much and they kept double feeding. Recompressed the springs and no issues since. Just my two cents.

PMI was/is an offshoot of a contract manufacturing company started in 1953 specializing in high volume metal stampings and sub assemblies catering to the automotive and appliance markets. That company is Punch Press Products, inc. ( metal stamping | metal stamping manufacturers | precision metal stamping) and is still going strong today. I have the pleasure of being the President of PPP as well. Our experience in high end markets, the tooling, and process we used back then is what set us apart and apparently what all of you measure the others against. The ORGINAL tooling and fixtures for all steel parts and the plastic follower are still in existence and owned by PPP (in storage at PPP facilities). It has not been operated since the original AWB. Not being exclusively a gun oriented company; the AWB scared us off and many other companies like us. I'm writing this because one - I'm surprised to see the following this product still garners, and two - interested in learning what market there may still be for our mags and whether the limited AWB repeal should convince us to enter into this again. The tools and assy process can somewhat easily be turned back on if the volumes are there and the legalities of any remaining AWB legislature (CA and MA?) do not prohibit re-entry.
One more thing…. Many have tried to copy the design of a PMI product - some have even used components of the company name to influence PMI memories - but none have the process and tooling capabilities to produce the part in the same way.
Thanks for reading. I'm interested to hear the response this message gets.
Go to the PPP web site and search my email link if you would like to correspond one-on-one.

Sir, If you start making them, I will buy them. I have used you mags in my Mini 14 for over 10 years now, and other than replacing springs, one follower has worn and won't hold the bolt open. Otherwise they have been flawless!
I would really love to have some PMI some Mini 30 mags!

Trying to stock up on range mags, so I bought a couple of cheap 30 rounders from CDNN:
Ruger Mini-14 .223 30rd Blue Mag New
Received them on Saturday and much to my dissapointment they did not fit. The raised edges were too high and they were fouling on the internal edges of the receiver.
Rather than send back I hit them with a file - about 10 mins each mag, until they fitted.
Ran them last night and they were flawless. So if you want to save a bit of money and don't mind a bit of effort, these work well.

"There ain't a whole lot
that can't be fixed
with seven hundred dollars
and a thirty aught six!"
