My $ 5.00 Mini 14 stock

I have posted pictures of my Mini before, but a few things have changed. Here is how I got my Mini 14 $ 5.00 stock. I went to one of my fav gun store, I knew the owner for years, as I was leaving I noticed a familiar looking stock and sure enough it was a Mini in the scrap bin. I asked Wayne How much and he said $ 5.00. Somebody had screwed a sling stud directly into the forearm, and I what it looked like it ripped out a good piece of the wood. Paid the $ 5.00 took it home and worked on it all work was done with hand tools. I even tried to salvage the original hole that caused the damage, but it was too close to the front

Wow...I am in awe of your woodworking skills. I fall REAL short in this category.

Nice work!

ETA: Possibly a good candidate for a metal butt-plate: https://www.perfectunion.com/vb/ruge...tt-plates.html
