Have to agree and disagree,
First yes, other states just want to cut CA. loose and say to bad for you, you choose this and want to lump all Californians in the same boat, however that is wrong.
The Libtards in the bay areas voted for the imbecile's running the state and they have the majority so rest of us have to live with it.
For some reason the free states think this won't happen to them, however it is already slowly happening.
Right now I see it as not helping your own, I thought this was the
"United States", but I guess I'm wrong. I guess us Californians are on our in the fight for our second Amendment rights. Even the NRA does very little for California "Very Little".
However I still support the NRA because I see a bigger picture than just California. I also sign petitions, send money when I can to all states fighting for our freedoms.
This not sending ammo to California is petty, it is 100% legal to send to an FFL holder and is easier than shipping a firearm to any state.

Sorry, just a little Irritated this morning.
Off my Rant.

PS:
Getting pounded with rain today, how is your day going

I'm quoting myself because the answer to the problem is here. I'm done participating in this thread.

It looks to me they have several FFLs they work with in that area...

Enter your zip code and several will come up

Use their interactive chat feature, or email them @ [email protected] and tell them you're trying to buy the item and have it sent to a local FFL.

Hi Beck,
That list is for firearm transfers.
Here is the message I get when trying to order ammo.

Your cart contains products that can't be shipped to your state due to an ammunition restriction.
There is no choice to choose an FFL like there is for a firearm.
Also called and they are not taking any phone calls as all their customer service people are working from home and can not take calls.
I sent an email and I am waiting a response.
Also have sent several emails to several other the vendors.
Some have responded with they don't ship to CA., others have not responded yet.
I did find one with ammo and will ship, however they want $14 for a box of 20, not happening.
I do appreciate the help though.

Yep, the only way to contact them is through the chat thing that pops up on their page, or email. They normally ship ammo to CA FFLs, but it is possible they are temporarily too overwhelmed to mess with it until this crisis passes.

The HP Barnaul stuff in your link is normally around $99.00 per 500 rounds, so you have an idea what you can expect to pay for it when things calm down. They also have the FMJ for the same price, but the HP in your link will probably better suit your needs as it's listed by Barnaul for hunting and self-defense. It does expand some at close ranges

Rob Ski really likes it in FMJ for target accuracy. Barnaul makes good product.

At least U have options. Most stores here are closed per gov Cumhole despite DHS declaring gunshops essential.
But yea. My old blue label 8M3 in most mags with Hornady SST steel case. Still got lots of Zombie-Max in reserve. Barnaul SP after that.

I hate to tell you, but you can't get a model 5868 in Ca. Unless you are LE. The flash hider and the fact that it ships with 20 rnd mags makes it forbidden to civilians in California.

Technically correct, but it can be dumbed down my removing the flash hider and substituting 10 or 5-rnd mags. Gun dealers and gun owners in Cali have learned to adapt.

For example:

You can also purchase aftermarket faux or fake flash hiders if you like for aesthetics. The slits aren't cut all the way through so it does nothing at all to tame flash nor act as a compensator. It's just for looks. There are quite a few places you can find them. Here's a link to one site so you can get an idea. If Illinois ever banned flash hiders I'd get one of these because I like how a flash hider looks, whether it works or not.

I just love handloading 7.62x39. No restrictions on components. I almost hate to say anything...I haven't purchased loaded ammunition in a long time. Starline brass, 123gr Nosler and 4198 powder. Pretty easy.

Lee. Nothing fancy. I like their classic turret press.

I know a lot of people get the Mini30s to shoot cheap surplus ammunition, but I just don't care for the steel cases, so I buy good brass. It may not be as cheap, but in times of short supply...

For YEARS I have been shooting ONLY the 3 Bears, golden bear, silver bear or brown bear. Same ammo, different casing. In both of my mini30s, old 196 and new one they both will group 2 inches at 100 yards. I have killed a lot of deer and some coyotes plus 2 pigs with mine.

Nice,
Good to hear.
So far all I got is some Wolf Military Classic 122HP.
But I will find some others somewhere.
Also will be getting the reload items I need for the Mini.

I like the Bears. My 189 Series favors Silver Bear. I have Silver Bear in PSP and HP. Since they're made by Barnaul I imagine Rob Ski might get just as excited about the Bears as he does the garden variety Barnaul branded.

So as of now I have found no one who has 7.62X39 that will ship to CA.
Except Wolf and Tula and the shipping cost kills the deal.
LAX has satellite locations in Rancho Cordova and Yuba City. And when i checked in with them today, they only had Wolf at $7.50/box of 20.

I paid about $3.50 but it was the last available where I got it.
If you are still wanting a Tactical let me know, my Vendor has one left.

Yep, and 2500+ FPS with AA1680 for the same bullet.

CFE BLK, which was made for 300 Blackout, has created new possibilities for 7.62x39 as well.

CFE BLK and AA1680 are right on top of each other on the burn rate charts, both a little faster than Reloader 7 and 4198.

If people could remember just one thing about x39 so I don't have to keep repeating it, the world would be a happier place. And that is 7.62x39 is not limited by physics, but by a philosophy or warfare which required the least amount of bullet and the least amount of powder to get the job done. And the final nail driven by Ruger's missed opportunity to propose a SAAMI standard for x39 with balls.

We have a lot of things to thank Ruger for. The SAAMI standard for x39 is not one of those things.

If anyone wants to know what x39 can do and always could have done, research Wilson's 300 Ham'r load data and follow it when loading x39.
