I had enough extra I even sold some factory PMC to a friend. I used it to buy more powder and bullets. I have been processing and reloading like a mad man the last 2 weeks. (for the revolution ya know) Besides, I'm bored just watching TV all day.

However, I am now starting to lean back to the Mini-14.
Reason being, I am thinking about getting a 7.62X39 Upper for one of my AR's.
But then I may just freak out and buy a 30 and a 14
Well, you can't go wrong with either, but the two calibers have different uses and roles. That's what it comes down to when deciding between the two. IMHO you can do some things with the 30 as well as with the 14, but not so much the other way around. The Mini-30 gets the versatility prize in my book. I figured that out 30 years ago and nothing has come up to change my mind.

Well,
I just ordered a SS Mini-30 Tactical
Thanks to Sandog's glowing reports and Beck for hanging in there with all
my questions, especially about ammo.
Anyway I will start a new thread with range report once it gets here.

Thanks,
Should I just go ahead and order gas bushings, firing pin and lighter sear spring.
Or see how it performs first?

I would see how it performs first with the stock pin. I usually say yes right off the bat to the firingpins.com after market pin, but I'm hearing more and more reports of new Mini-30s doing well with the factory pins on Berdan primers. Nothing wrong with having an extra pin around anyway though.

As Bepe has mentioned a couple times I'd leave the gas bushing alone on the Tactical for reliable cycling.

The lighter secondary sear spring is probably going to improve the feel of the trigger to some degree regardless, so yeah go for it on that.
