Shout-Out to Bepe

For sending me some Speer 130 gr .308 (#2005) bullets for my .308 bore Mini-30. These things are great for hunting and self defense at Mini-30 velocities.

In other news I found a couple boxes of the long discontinued Speer #7350 135 gr Single Shot Pistol bullets. I'm having a good run of luck.

Good Lordy, I'm afraid I might see a unicorn next.

Thanks Bepe!

Bepe ROCKS! He's helped me out in the past, as well. A true citizen-patriot.

Bepe has thrown many goodies my way. He was instrumental in helping my last Mini-30 build with extra parts. If everyone was as solid and upstanding as Bepe, this would be one kick ass country.

Beck, did you ever load up any of the PPU brass I sent you ?

Thumbs up

Yep, Bepe is a good soul, as are quite a few of the guys here. We know who they are. I wish the antis could see us in our natural habitat here. They get us confused with the bad guys simply because we own guns and advocate for the 2nd Amendment. Little do they know, whether we are or have been LEO or not, we're willing to put our lives on the line to protect them.

Sandog, yes I've got a few rounds loaded in the PPU brass you sent. Thanks again for that! So far I've loaded Sierra 135 gr .308 Matchkings, and Nosler 125 gr .308 Ballistic Tips.

My reloading gear is modest, but complete, and more than adequate for my purposes. For now I'm only loading 7.62x39 for the Mini-30. I may branch out to 357 Magnum loading at some point. I'm itching to try the Sierra 140 gr JHP bullets in my Model 92.

I have mostly LEE products for x39, including the full-length die, the neck sizer only die set, and the factory crimp die. I also have an RCBS Collet bullet puller, and a Hornady Powder Trickler. Plus a few other odds and ends.

I've got both Remington and Winchester large rifle primers.

For powders I have A1680 and Hodgdon CFE BLK for now. I'll get around to experimenting with others. Next time Midway or Brownells has a free Hazmat day I'll buy some more.

With a .309 (technically .3089) bore I have a lot of options for projectiles. My lands are .300 (7.62 mm) on the nose. Grooves are .3089 according to Ruger.

My calipers say .309 when I slugged my bore again recently. Close enough. At any rate I can shoot .308 pills just fine, and .310/.311 are peachy too. No fear of over pressure when using the right powders.

Just saw this thread, so I will jump on the Bepe shout out bandwagon.

I had mentioned briefly in passing, that I couldn’t find any Ruger mags for my carbine because of the CoronaRun.

Bam! He reached out to me, a total stranger, and I had one in the mail a couple days later.

He uses the Glock mags. I don’t run any Glocks as I have plenty of hammers. Lol

Refused payment as well.

American Patriot. Thank you!
