New member and Mini owner!

Have wanted a Mini since the "80s when I was a kid. Picked up this super clean 2017 production 583 tactical last week at Clyde Armory in Georgia. Came from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, has very little use. May add some type of red dot eventually. And possibly one of the new Samson stocks.

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking Mini-14 Tactical. I actually like the Ruger factory black synthetic stock. I like wood a bit better, but the next Mini-30 I buy I may go for the black synthetic. It looks pretty sharp. But if you want a Samson folder... go for it!

Thumbs up

You're welcome. Nothing wrong with having both.

Great gun. I have a 2014 582 blued tactical with synthetic stock.

Recommend getting a 1911 shock buffer in it right away at least on the back of the slide movement, and maybe on front, plenty of threads on that and very helpful.

I use a red dot mounted forward on scout rail. The accustrut and Ultimak m4s scout rail are good upgrades when/if you decide they fit in your plans.

Enjoy it!

Does anyone make a good light mount for these guns?

Sandog may weigh in on how to do that.

sweet mini. personally, the tactical in stainless in my favorite combo of the mini. great choice! burris FF makes a helluva good red dot, perfect fit for the ol mini imo.
