Sold out now. A few lucky buyers saved themselves many months of waiting.
I got mine from Samson. Nothing special and the color is disturbing to me.
The huge majority of them are much too light. Screwed up too light.
I knew about the Ruger sales but did not need another.
The color can be ****muckeldung, it's still a folder based on the original design. When the demand dies down I may consider one for myself. It can be titty pink for all I care.

I really like the Ruger designed folding stock. Tough as nails and truly mil-spec. However, I have shot an AC-556K that had one on it at a LEO Rangemaster school, I must point out it is less than comfortable to shoot. It does, however, decrease muzzle rise, as it makes the recoil basically a straight line affair like an AR15.

If I lived in a state where a folding stock and Mini-14 Tactical weren't felonies, I would have a tactical with the A-TM stock. The thought of having that setup almost gives me a mental "stiffy"!!!!!!

Thanks for that tidbit Imarangemaster...I had always wondered about the comfort factor. I do want one just to have one...but having never even touched one I had no "feel" for this stock and your first person assessment and commentary is very much appreciated!

Had aftermarked

Back in the 80's I had a stock identical to the Ruger folder except it had the M-16 grip and I loved it for my stainless steel Mini until I made the crime of the week, where it was stolen along with a couple of 45's and a Dan Wesson Model 14.

I think the main focus of the Ruger folding stock was for shooting from the hip or loosely from the shoulder. I agree there is NO cheek weld but I don't believe it was ever designed for a cheek weld.

thank you for not insulting me. but it is not a shotgun and firing from the hip or loosely from the shoulders means no hits and waste of ammo unless maybe in a small room

I don't think anybody is taking this stock that seriously.

It is a novelty stock with some nostalgia involved, that has not been around for a long time.

A number of owners have taken to refinishing their A-TM.
Amazing results. Many pics on that forbidden site.

I took the stock apart the other day. Turns out that retention pin is a cross pin and not a blind pin. So one can take the assembly apart as I originally thought.

I like that. It adds a bit of class to the product.

No NOT serialized! As I stated before that is the PN and NOT the SN number.

Angry Major delays in shipping

I saw the FEB article too. And immediately ordered mine (2 weeks before they actually shipped in March). STILL NO STOCK in hand. all SAMSON ever say in a couple of calls and emails is "everything is fine, shipping as fast as we can" Supply chain difficulties (which, ironically they point to Ruger forwood stock blanks.

I have pretty much kissed my $279 goodbye and will unlikely EVER see my stock. I have a distinct feeling that the "good ole boy" network is hard in play and mostly dealers, schmoozes and other "Im important cause I got money" types are cutting in front of the "first ordered, first ship" line. It seems like EVERYONE and their brother from a gun store has a "A-TM review".

Perhaps stop friking giving them away to the marketers and money people, and start shipping to paying customers. I have ZERO confidence in SAMSON Mfg to actually deliver the product that they took my money.

Has anyone actually received a SAMSON version in 2020?

Just wondering. I ordered mine in FEB right when the article came out. Yeah - late to the party, but I didn't think THIS late. FEBRUARY order with ZERO expected ship date. Its like a product people want, pay $279 and don't get.

I'm feeling like a pretty big sucker right about now. Should've used the money for another HYBRID instead. At least I know that is a 10-12 month wait. Here it's just nothing. Like SAMSON is hoping I will someday stop asking about my Stock or the $279 dollars I've given them. Maybe I should charge interest on my "loan". pretty frustrated and pissed off right now.

Just wondering if anyone here actually has received one of these this year? SAMSON says they are shipping in small batches. But I gotta be honest, their ordering system, and the general way they are handling this does not inspire confidence.

I'm gonna go ahead and break your heart. I ordered mine on Feb. 4 with no hope in sight. There are guys on Samson's face book page and other gun forums begging for updates that ordered their stocks on Jan. 28th. The role out date for these stocks was on the 24th of Jan, and i seriously doubt they have filled those orders. You can say bye bye to that $300 for at least the next year... Maybe.

Ruger now sells them on their web page, and it is listed as an original Ruger licensed item!
