^THIS^ There are a lot of guys out there that own mini 14's that dont do gun forums like we do, but dearly want this stock. My local gun shop alone has a list two pages long of names on hold for the stock "WHEN THEY COME OUT". I'm glad I pre-ordered instead of waiting until they hit the selves. I've been waiting 33 years for mine, I think I can hold my britches a little longer

Also, I didnt see were it says shipping will start late March early April. All the adds I've seen still say roll out is mid March. So if they start shipping by Mid-March we may not see ours until April.

No doubt, there is a huge amount of pent up demand. Look what Ruger has been missing out on all of these years. They did the same thing by letting the Mini flounder by not upgrading it years ago. I'm glad someone has stepped up to the plate and is bringing it back. This demand will carry through for years.

Are they going to re-pop the side sling gas blocks too? C'mon Ruger! Let them use your molds for that too...

Personally I dont want anything attached to the gasblock. I'm gonna either do what sandog did to his Mini 30 with the quick release on the side of the forearm or just a swivel stud. It's something I've been meaning to do to my other mini 14 as well. I'm inclined to get one of these: https://www.mini14gasblock.com/Non-Adjustable.php and leave the stud off. Just not to sure about putting aluminum on my steel rifle.

Pictures? I can do better than that, I'm gonna make a un-boxing, install, and shoot-em-up video first chance I get!

There is a large discussion on these stocks on another site with a bunch of pics of the new stocks that are in the lucky hands of people.
Pics are on the last few pages. Page 5 to last.

I dislike the AR site and was banned about 10 years ago. But the thread is a good read with lots of good pics.

A lady from Samson called me on March 10th to confirm credit card info (I had gotten in on the sale the first day - January 27th? - and the credit card hold had of course long since expired). I got an invoice from Samson on the 13th and a UPS shipment notification today. It should be here March 18th.

It looks like they're all light-colored and unstained with maybe a thin polycoat. I'm good with that because it makes staining to taste a lot easier.

We'll see.

The wait may be very long for some people. Would not be surprised more than 6 months.
Assumed less than 60 shipped so far in almost 3 weeks.

EDIT: Figured out a way to make the stock MA compliant from the inside with a spacer on the plunger mechanism to change the function of the factory supplied plunger retention pin into a permanently fixing cross pin. See later in the thread.

Didn't come with a rear swing swivel. Going to order a Grovetec.

Did come with a liner.

Only Samson marking is inside the rear fold.

mmmm walnut

grip is rather nice plastic
jumpluff and curt mini14 like this.

Don't be so Anal. Use your $1200 check from your President, Donald John Trump, to buy 1 or three. And if you make to much money to get a check, cry once and enjoy that stock for a long time!

Need to make it compliant before I can put a receiver into the stock and I'd rather not irreversibly neuter the stock in case I ever escape the Commonwealth.

Grovetec?

Check the For sale thread PARTS for a original Sling and Swivel.

Samsons are not serialized. The number is the PN not SN 10-00001-00. Silly you.

Your stock will have to be spot welded to comply. Dremel cut it free when needed. Grind down old weld and blend. SS will be easy to make nice again. Be glad it is not blue. Silver solder could work too. Blind pin welded or silver soldered too. Nothing you could do mechanically without a weld will comply.

lmao! this might be the first time anyone has ever called me anal. bet my wife wishes i was anal about getting my dirty clothes into the hamper....

the real truth is, i woulda paid that price when i was really really wanting one. my "need" for one isn't what it once was.

besides, can't afford both the folder and a gold plated AK with my corona check. sacrifices must be made.

As soon as these flood the market, I'll sell my original since it will be devalued so badly. I might sell it for less then these fake folders!

The retaining pin isn't a blind pin and can be easily removed when the metal U shape plate is separated from the wood stock allowing the plunger & spring to be removed. The notch in the plunger can have a solid spacer inserted on the flat to fix the plunger in the closed position to keep the stock locked open (put everything back together with the stock open and then reinsert the retention pin) if you're a commie state like me with compliance issues.

shopruger.com had these A-TMs and sold a small number this week.
They are shipping the orders placed this week.
No waiting, just normal processing time.
Sold out now. A few lucky buyers saved themselves many months of waiting.
I got mine from Samson. Nothing special and the color is disturbing to me.
The huge majority of them are much too light. Screwed up too light.
I knew about the Ruger sales but did not need another.
