A Choate handguard will help keep the barrel cool between the receiver and gas block. While it might only provide a negligible accuracy improvement, it's definitely worth it. Not to mention it looks 1000% better than the OEM 'guard.
If you shoot from a bipod or like to sling up while shooting, I'd strongly encourage you to order up a Harris #2 adapter and install it about 1" back from the tip of the forend on the stock.
A good muzzle brake would be a good investment, as well. Reduces recoil and muzzle climb, plus adds mass to the muzzle which helps reduce barrel harmonics and improve accuracy. Should you miss your first shot, it will help keep you on target for a quick follow-up.
Many M1A/M14 shooters swear by the Smith Enterprise "Good Iron" brake. I've just installed one on my .308 AR (umm... a month ago...) and have not had a chance to get to the range to test it out. IIRC, your Tac30 should be threaded 5/8-24, which is the standard thread for any .30 caliber American-made rifle.
