Lib Rag Says Global Warming Not So Bad

Check it out.

We aren't going to drown after all.

Warming has stalled.

I don't have the necessary training, data, or time to determine who's right. So I'll blindly stick with my current opinion: Even if things are heating up, or cooling down, or becoming increasingly chaotic, it probably won't be so bad as some claim. And I probably won't be around to see who's right, so why should I care?

I just saw a science video that says that activity on the sun is a big contributor to the weather changes on earth and this activity runs in cycles.

We need the extra CO2 to feed an expanding population.

The green religion will continue to cook the books and use gray area data. Too much money on the table to walk away now.

The Register is a tech rag. I expect it won't be long before we see something like this:

March 28, 2012

Recently published climate research by Zunli Lu, a geochemist in the Department of Earth Sciences in Syracuse University’s College of Arts and Sciences, has gone viral across the Internet by bloggers. A number of media outlets, including theDaily Mail and The Register, which are published in the United Kingdom, claim this research supports arguments that human-induced global warming is a myth. The claims, Lu says, misrepresent his work and the conclusions in the study. The statement below is an effort to set the record straight. The original news story about the research is posted on Arts and Sciences News.

Zunli Lu:
“It is unfortunate that my research, “An ikaite record of late Holocene climate at the Antarctic Peninsula,” recently published in Earth and Planetary Science Letters, has been misrepresented by a number of media outlets.

Several of these media articles assert that our study claims the entire Earth heated up during medieval times without human CO2
emissions. We clearly state in our paper that we studied one site at the Antarctic Peninsula. The results should not be extrapolated to make assumptions about climate conditions across the entire globe. Other statements, such as the study “throws doubt on orthodoxies around global warming,” completely misrepresent our conclusions. Our study does not question the well-established anthropogenic warming trend.”
The Daily Mail = Major Fail – Scientist Sets Record Straight on Medieval Warming Research Climate Denial Crock of the Week

So, the Register has published climate bunk before, and I do not think that Nature article supports the Register article's contentions this time either.

So what your saying is that he is worried about his climate study grant money and has to back off what he reported in order to retain his piece of the hoax pie. Global warming is a myth greater than the Easter bunny and Santa Claus.

In this regard, scientists are very much like lawyers, doctors and politicians. You can never get a straight, black or white answer from any of them.

Facts about what is on our planet now, and what the history of the planet has been are all you need to discover the reality of global warming.

1) We are in a 20 thousand year global warming trend (Interglacials) called the HOLOCENE.

2) We are near the end of that period.

3) Ice core data shows that in about the past 500,000 years, the earth has cycled through these interglacials about every 100,000 years, with 20k being warm, and the other 80k being colder by about 12 degrees.

4) The theory that man's burning of "fossil fuels" and other uses of resources has released carbon dioxide that's warmed up the normal cycle more than it should be is quickly revealed to be wrong by just a few details that NOBODY can change.

First: The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is too little, even with man's amount added to DRIVE any warming trends.
Second: The past 500,000 years shows that as the planet warms up, the amount of Co2 rises BEHIND the temp changes. (So, it warms up, and then, hundreds of years later, the amount of Co2 rises.)
Third: Studies by folks at NASA, and other places, have shown that the amount of Co2 in our atmosphere created by man are so small, they are totally lost in the backscatter of the data. (So, natural amounts of Co2 totally eclipse any amount created or released by man, so much so, that after more than 30 years of trying to find the "smoking gun" by NASA, they have failed to find it, and admit, they will never find it, but have discovered many other things, but none that show man's involvement in any MEASUREABLE ways.)

So, where are we then?

We can try and limit Co2, but to what advantage? There is no chance it will change our climate in any measureable way.

But we can clean up the air, that's a good idea.
We can be smart about how we use resources.
We can be pro-active about energy use, future needs, and promote technology that changes out world, just like it has since the dawn of time.

Right now, technology is clearly not there for wind, solar or other "alternatives" that need our tax dollars to even exist.

The reality that private money, from industry will promote, and produce any source of energy that's viable, or more cost effective is just that, REALITY.

It's how folks went from small boats to large ones with big sails.. And then when sails were eclipsed by steam power, even larger boats to ship goods and people around the world... And so on.

What's next?

The reality is, the same market forces that provide for billions to eat, sleep and yes, THRIVE on our planet now, will come along, and provide the next big advance in power/energy.

Not government. Not EcoFreaks like Al Gore, hypocrite extreme.

As a world, we should be working to use the technology we have, not call it evil, and create the religion of EcoFreakdom.

Hydrogen. To make up for the loss of revenue in fossil fuels we will have added taxes such as a tax on how many miles we drove this year.
