John Kelly: "Trump is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life"

"The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it's more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life," the retired Marine general has told friends

Trump should not be president. The Trump cult hate America.

John Kelly is the most despicable, dishonest, disloyal, and ungrateful piece of Bull excrement to ever have the honor of serving our wonderful MOB and America. Rates right there with scaramuchi, and the black gal from MOB's intern show, where he gave her all the chances in the world, and she is still a ghetto trash piece of chyte.

Pissy much?

Sure Pres. Trump has flaws, we all do.
But it is satisfying to know that John Kelly will have to call him president for 4 more years (and so will freesw !)

John Kelly , as a retired jarhead has almost certainly met many more flawed people than DJT . He's overstating it a bit . Even in my limited military experience I have worked under men who achieved flag rank and never sought and in fact ran from positions in D.C. , among those two or three I have stayed in touch with most pursued career paths closer to missions , destroyer squadrons , weapons system development etc...you know hands on bare knuckle stuff . It takes a certain type to work in D.C. , and an even more rung climber type to speak badly about his present or former boss , it just isn't done publicly , maybe in confidence these conversations occur , but publicly no . There is a code .

There are people here who completely misunderstand Donald Trump. John Kelly knows him better than anyone here. Much better. He is in the position to know.

So Gen Kelly is somehow now trustworthy, when in the past he has been attacked as Untrustworthy by many Democrats? Can't have it both ways.

Once again, freesw fails to do "Due Diligence" and cites a person who was roundly attacked by Libs in the past.

Apologize for the lengthy quote from Wiki:

" Controversies
DC Capital Partners conflict of interest
In January 2017, The Intercept reported that Kelly failed to disclose his position as vice-chair on the Spectrum Group, a defense contractor lobbying firm, on his ethics, form while taking a position at the department of homeland security.[58] Kelly's membership on the board of DC Capital Partners and its for-profit detention facilities at the Southern Border and Florida, operated by its subsidiary Caliburn International had called into question his neutrality as they have been described as private for-profit concentration camps.[59] Caliburn CEO James Van Dusen said, "With four decades of military and humanitarian leadership, in-depth understanding of international affairs and knowledge of current economic drivers around the world, General Kelly is a strong strategic addition to our team." Candidates in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries objected, including Cory Booker who said Kelly's actions in joining the board were "disgusting," with Elizabeth Warren calling his role, "corruption at its absolute worst."[60] In July 2019, the House Oversight Committee announced it was probing Kelly's conflict of interest in the camps while he was the White House Chief of Staff.[61][62]

Frederica Wilson dispute
In October 2017, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-FL) criticized Trump for his phone call to the widow of a slain U.S. soldier, saying his remarks had been insensitive. Wilson had been in the widow's car when Mr. Trump had called her.[63] A few days later, Kelly held a press briefing where he defended Trump's phone call, which he had overheard, saying Trump "expressed his condolences in the best way that he could." Kelly harshly criticized Wilson, calling her "the empty barrel that makes the most noise" and stating that in a 2015 speech Wilson had "stood up" to inappropriately claim credit for securing federal funding for an FBI building in her district.[64][65] Video of her 2015 speech showed his description to be inaccurate.[66] Later that month, while in an interview with conservative commentator Laura Ingraham, Kelly said he stood by his comments on Wilson and would "never" apologize for his comments. Kelly said he would "talk about before her comments and at the reception afterwards" as a "package deal", but refused to elaborate further.[67][68]

Civil War remarks
In the same October 2017 interview with Laura Ingraham, Kelly said that "the lack of ability to compromise led to the Civil War." He also described Robert E. Lee as an "honorable man" who "gave up ... his country to fight for his state," and claimed, "men and women of good faith on both sides made their stand where their conscience had to make their stand."[69] Several historians of the Civil War described Kelly's remarks as ignorant, and as a misuse of history reminiscent of Lost Cause mythology. They also broadly reject Kelly's remark that a failure to compromise led to the Civil War, noting that the war was predominantly fought over slavery and that a number of compromises on slavery were made in the lead-up to the war.[70] The White House defended Kelly's remarks, citing non-fiction writer and historian Shelby Foote.[71]

DACA remarks
On February 6, 2018, Kelly made recorded remarks concerning a discrepancy between how many had enrolled in DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and how many were to be offered a path to citizenship, by saying "The difference between 690 [thousand] and 1.8 million were the people that some would say were too afraid to sign up; others would say are too lazy to get off their asses, but they didn't sign up".[72]

Firing of White House aide Rob Porter
On February 7, 2018, White House staff secretary Rob Porter resigned in the wake of reports that his two ex-wives accused him of domestic abuse, allegations that Porter said are false and "a coordinated smear campaign".[73] One ex-wife had a protective order from 2010 against Porter, and the other had photographic evidence of the alleged abuse.[73] The protective order had prevented Porter from obtaining a full security clearance, though the order's associated ex-wife said Porter's "integrity and ability to do his job is impeccable".[73] According to an unnamed senior administration official, Kelly was aware of the protective order and the domestic abuse allegations, and had promoted Porter within the White House.[73][74] Approached by media about the allegations, Kelly initially praised Porter, saying he was a "man of true integrity and honor, and I can't say enough good things about him. He is a friend, a confidante and a trusted professional. I am proud to serve alongside him."[73] Per an unnamed White House official, Porter resigned over the objections of Kelly, who had worked closely with Porter since becoming White House Chief of Staff.[75]

In a February 8 email to White House staff, Kelly wrote, "While we are all processing the shocking and troubling allegations made against a former White House staffer, I want you to know that we all take matters of domestic violence very seriously. Domestic violence is abhorrent and has no place in our society".[76] On February 9, 2018, The Washington Post reported that Kelly had instructed senior staff and aides to tell reporters that Kelly took immediate action to fire Porter upon hearing that domestic abuse allegations were credible; the Post noted this "version of events contradicts both the public record and accounts from numerous other White House officials in recent days as the Porter drama unfolded."[77] Kelly told reporters on March 2, 2018 that he sought Porter's resignation immediately after learning of the accusations on February 6 and regretted his handling of Porter's departure.[78]

Firing of Omarosa Manigault
In August 2018, a tape was released of Kelly firing White House staffer Omarosa Manigault in the Situation Room, and allegedly threatening her legally as well as reputationally, stating to the employee: "I'd like to see this be a friendly departure," Kelly says on the tape. "There are pretty significant legal issues that we hope don't develop into something that, that'll make it ugly for you."[79][80] When questioned whether the President knew of the firing, Kelly replied: "The [White House] staff, and everybody on the staff, works for me and not the president."[79] Kelly's use of the Situation Room to isolate and fire the employee also led to controversy about potential misuse of the high-security facility by Kelly, as well as the fact he was unknowingly recorded within it.[80][81]"

The exact same flip flop that they did on Bolton, first he was a demon from the depths of Hell itself, until he said bad things about the orange man, then he was their hero.
Pathetic liberals with zero integrity and less than zero credibility.
The beauty of that is that they've shown their asses enough now, that all of America sees it.

I disagree, with all respect. Some Subordinates, by virtue of their rank/position whether in the Mil or Civilian are required by virtue of their position to give their full and unvarnished opinions to their Superior. Once given, then it is their duty to either enact the orders of their Superior, or resign their position--Immediate circumstances allowing such.

Kelly's personal opinions about Trump, once out of Office are one thing, but must be taken against his opinions while in office.

If he was untrustworthy while in office/back then as Libs have alleged, than how is he suddenly "Trustworthy"?

Like I said previously, can't have it both ways. The Libs will try, of course, but it is SO easy to catch them in blatant hypocrisy.

I think that what Kelly is missing is Respect. Had he Respect for his Commander in Chief he may well have made his report in a much different tone, but his tone was clearly animosity, perhaps for being fired, I don't know.

As for his actions Kelly was not in line with the UCMJ when it comes to Respect:

Punitive Articles of the UCMJ - Article 89
Article 89: Disrespect Toward a Superior Commissioned Officer

(3) Disrespect. Disrespectful behavior is that which detracts from the respect due the authority and person of a superior commissioned officer. It may consist of acts or language, however, expressed, and it is immaterial whether they refer to the superior as an officer or as a private individual. Disrespect by words may be conveyed by abusive epithets or other contemptuous or denunciatory language. The truth is no defense. Disrespect by acts includes neglecting the customary salute or showing a marked disdain, indifference, insolence, impertinence, undue familiarity, or other rudeness in the presence of the superior officer.

Now I realize that the President is not a Commissioned Officer, but when I was in the military I was taught that the Commander in Chief was the one true leader of America's Military, and as such should be afforded at least the respect of any Commissioned Officer.

Of course in these times who even knows what respect means any more?

Heaven forbid Trump would pick up Jack Keane as an advisor , war , war, war , at the drop of a hat . Too many neocon think tanks with ex military connected to the MIC . McCain always freaked me out in that respect . The world has seen our presence , perhaps they should see and experience our absence , that including limited disaster response . Why TF are we involved with 1947 NATO alliances when , Germany for example, will gladly accept Russian gas for heat . Why provide NATO protection to countries that are willing to trade with the Big Bear when it suits their interests ?

On a different note , how bout Brexit ? The whole EU amounts to trying to unite economic power at the expense of bailing out failing in laws and cousins that retire at 45 and contribute little . Who wants an unelected body in Brussels determining your country's fate ? Sovereignty ? Never a good idea to throw your fate into a "lot" of others hoping on good fate , especially when your country is quite capable of doing okay
on their own .

Ukraine ...Nuland...Soros...Crimea had elections...Donbass ... who meddles ? We do...Stop it .

As before said , "the world has felt our (U.S ) presence , let them feel our absence " .

Fix our own **** .

Admiral McRaven also speaks out against Trump, reluctantly but forcefully. Because, he says, Trump has had a calamitous effect on our nation.
