Where have we seen this before?

Quote of the day?Rutrow | The View From North Central Idaho
Here's the money-shot quote: "...How about distributing gun design files with fatal flaws engineered in? The yokels who download these plans would be easily identifiable by eye patches and the lack of several fingers..."

So this clown wants gun people to be maimed or killed.

Where have we seen this before?
The little-told story of how the U.S. government poisoned alcohol during Prohibition.
Yep, Cal Coolidge's gov't poisoned thousands of Americans in hopes of scaring people away from alcohol. And take a gander at the sort of reception this policy had with the "Drys": "...Must Uncle Sam guarantee safety first for souses?..."

Gents, the gun grabbers hate us. They hate us because we won't do what they want us to do, in exactly the same way that the Drys hated the Wets back during Prohibition. Since to a gun grabber, the only good gun is a government gun, they will never stop nor accept any compromise short of a total ban on civilian gun ownership.

How to deal with the gun haters? I hate them right back.

Grumpy

Wasn't old enough to serve in Vietnam. Met a young army vet once who disliked Donald Trump. Said he couldn't vote for a draft dodger. He supported Obama and thought he was a good president. He wouldn't know a patriot from a traitor if he served with one.

I smoked a lot of weed in my teens and early twenties. Remember Paraquat?

I used to work with a guy many years ago who had some odd hand tremors. Usually it wasn't noticeable unless you saw him moving his hand very slowly....like when sipping a hot cup of coffee. He believed it was caused by exposure to Agent Orange when he served in the military 20 years prior.

Ya know, nothing surprises me about leftists or the governmenta anymore. Their motto has always been, "The End Justifies the Means."

Not that I would put anything past leftist, but successfully doing such a thing would not be as easy as they think.

False assumption number 1: "yokels" would be using the plans to build a firearm and not people smart enough to test out a design and spot obvious flaws. But to people like whoever said this, I guess all their political enemies are "yokels".

False assumption number 2: Building a gun is not rocket science, and it's not magic either. A lot of people understand how they work and understand why specific measurements and tolerances are need. They won't be as easy to fool as getting them to drink poisonous alcohol.
