I love the feel of that stock, it is not "painty" or "plasticky" feeling and is really holding up well to all the crap I abuse it with shooting out in the canyons here in the low desert.

Stalin - It is the same matte black Guncote used on the rest of the rifle. Gundoc did the job.

Really durable.

Was invited to post them over here so they are
Wife's just mounted the side mount because it no longer fits mine with the ATI stock.
She prefers open sights.

Here is mine, ATI stock, centerpoint 40mm lighted rectile and a foregrip with a push of a button turns into a bipod (found it at a gun show)

Folded ATI stock without the foregrip

And playing around with a spare scope mount and cheap light from an auto parts store. Worked real good though.

Hey Drifter,

Where did you get those walnut stocks for your minis ?
That's exactly what I'm looking for.

Thanks,
Seagoing

186 series Mini-14. ATI Stock, Rogco Har-Bar, Choate FS, Bushnell 32mm Trophy Scope, UTG Rail Covers, Hahn Precision side rail extension, Aimtech Scout Mount. Pictures taken on cell phone and edited out of boredom in Linux GIMP photoeditor. pictures are in B&W because for some odd reason my phone wants to color certain black metals purple and it looks silly. besides. its sorta artsy fartsy

My first rifle was a Mini Thirty

2 Weeks after I turned 18, I went straight to the gun show and bought a long gun. Before going I did some research and the Mini Thirty is exactly what I wanted. Its a 581 series and swithed the synthetic stock for a wood one.

-I love my Mini

Here is the latest version.

I installed two 4" Picatinny rails on the sides just to widen the grip so it's more comfortable, and used rubber rail covers to keep it from being a palm grater.

Much more comfortable for me to hold. Then I added the Tasco PDTS132, which I will hopefully sight in over the weekend.

45K20E4,

I like the new "mod". Moreover, it's functional, both in handling the rifle, as well as if you wanted to add a flashlight or laser.

I also have gone with the ladder-style pictainny rail covers. They look better and I like their slim profile.

Nice work!

Here's mine - 580 / thick barrel. Pretty much stock other than:

* Side rail
* bottom sling stud
* Choate hand guard
* Harris bipod
* Millett DMS-1

Added a WMG 90 Rounder to the arsenal, I can only load 80 rounds by hand. Snatched it up at a gun shop that got a bunch of stuff from a police auction. Need to get the feed thing (correct words slip my mind right now)

Thanks alaj70!

wy_daveh - Doesn't that mag make the rifle sort of uneven to hold? It looks like a lot of weight hanging off one side. Then again, considering you probably got it way cheaper than a 100 rnd beta-mag......

Warne QD p/n 15RLM (High).

Don't bother to try 14RLM (Medium), won't clear the rear sight - it's a fact.
