The choice between the two calibers is subjective.
1). Being in Pa. & Traveling no farther north than NY. But hunting in woods as far as SC.
Choice is ...10mm. As it has less ballistic power than a .41 magnum. ( just shy)
2). U in Canadian and Alaskan woods ventures you just might have to defend against bigger brown bears (I never saw their tracks or traces)
Choice would be 265 gr. --300 gr. hard cast in ..429 caliber AKA .44 Magnum.
I think that's why Clint Smith went from packing a .45 cal. 1911 to EDC the 4 inch nickel mod. 29. in 44 Mag.
