I like it. Should do for most dinosaurs.

Best,

Here's something that would be even better for hunting the T-Rex: Japanese Type 97 20mm Anti-tank Rifle

Enjoy,

LOL! Wish I could have even one. Sadly they only built about 1200 of the things and there are very very few left. Worse, they're full auto and you know how restrictive the feds are on that. Don't even know if there are any legally registered ones in the US.

Think the 20mm single shot rifle you found will have to do, just in case you need to drop one of the larger dinosaurs some day!

Grumpy

The Lahti L-39 (sp) semi-auto with it's 20x138B round is much more common, and ammo is easier to find (the majority of Jap ammo was destroyed at the end of the war, and is much harder to locate collector quantities, let alone shooting quantities).

The one JRH posted is the 985 JDJ (20mm being just over 75cal).

If you really want a big bore, I can put you in touch with Ed Hubel, co-developer of the "12ga From Hell" and his own line of sporting cartridges from 458 up to 700 (700 is based on a straightened 50BMG case)
