November 19th is National Buy Ammo Day

Every November 19th we are reminded to support the shooting industry by buying 100 rounds or more of ammunition. The idea is to help the gun industry, the local gun shops and put more ammunition in the hands of private citizens.

This year you may actually find some ammo on the shelves!

That's right Buddy. I celebrated Nat AMMO Day today by walking past the ammo case at my local Wall of Mart, and NOT spending the $200 I had in my wallet. It seems I'm NOT actually an AMMO-haulic. I'm actually waiting to see if prices come down a bit after Black Friday. I WILL however, replace any I shoot in the future promptly.

I did sort and size my 45 Colt brass yesterday. Does that count?

Strange Squeaking In The Dead Of Night ...

I also bought up some extra ammo before election day. Like millions of others, I was hoping for the best but preparing for the worsererist.

Seems late at night when the sounds calm down sometimes there is a definite squeaking coming from the ammo safe room. Little high voices?

Closer listening determined that it was all the extra OLD ammo crying out in pain for their forlornness and grief for NOT being eventually shot off.

Sosss ... to placate their little desires the older practice/training/fun ammo will be removed from the safe and when dry weather permits, be fired.

Pesky little devils. See what happens? Yikes! Specifically FMJ Sellier & Bellot and Prvi Partizan .30 Carbine ammo for the fun gun M2 Carbine.

All Oregon State, US Code Laws And NFA Rules Apply. For now.

I tend to distribute my ammo stash around the house and in the barn area. Works, but I'll probably start focusing on places with a concrete floor...

SG ammo has some great deals. Shot some of the pmc korean surplus through my M1A las weekend, was ringing steel at 520 yards and irons. Stuff shot amazingly well for being almost 40 years old, and .45$/round. About 2 MOA ammo.
Ballistics match the sight graduations perfectly.
100-500 yards.
