and the stag gripped 4.5" 1858 Remmy copy is the most accurate handgun I own.....I call it, " Old Can't Miss ".......
at 25 yds it puts my .357, my .45s and everything else to shame.

it's my "once in a lifetime" revolver.........

thank you !

this is a close up of my "once in a lifetime" revolver.
loaded with 30 grains (by volume) of Schuetzen black powder, a lightly oiled 3/8" thick felt wad and a .457 ball......it hits point of aim EVERY shot !!

and has for a long time........

My beautiful Ruger Old Army 7.5" stainless in the same case....it's my preferred 50 yd. silhouette revolver......35 grains powder under the same load will give a decent center mass shot every time.

some of the custom work done to quickly identify these guns as MINE (commonly done in the Frontier Era)

the fully tacked percussion rifle was gifted to me in Oct.1975 (my 12th b-day)

the flint rifle with double triggers, sling, hammer(frizzen) stall, lucky pewter cross, and attached vent pick will hit a pie plate at 100 yds consistently

the un-blued flint musket is my copy of Chief Tecumsehs' last trade gun, captured at the battlefield he died on.....it's the one I had to do such extensive lock work on to relieve the trigger pull, and drill the vent hole on to make it fire ( Canadian import gun )...it's a .62 smoothbore / 18 gauge shotgun

if I were really a percussion guy i'd have a Mississippi rifle
i've been looking at it's forebear for a while though, the 1816 Harpers Ferry / Springfield musket.
