Musket Day ! ( Pic Heavy)

Took my Tecumseh Northwest Trade Gun for a nice shoot this afternoon.

It shoots well, but tonight i'm going to remove the lock springs and work them down to relieve some of the 24# (not exaggerating) trigger pull that it currently has.

here are some of my home made shot cups, and the process of using one with 00 Buckshot.
The silver dollar in the 1st panel and quarter in this one are for size reference....the NWTG is a "sawed off" Brown Bess . the primer pan holds 10 grains of powder FCOL !

forgot to mention, it's a .62 smoothbore which equates most closely to an 18 gauge shotgun, which DOES make it a smaller caliber than the Pattern 1,2,or3 Kings Musket /Brown Bess, which was a .75/12 gauge.

couldn't allow the natives a musket as large as ours now, eh wat.........
