Just bought Chief Tecumsehs' musket!

actually a working, firing copy of his musket that's in the Museum of the Fur Trade.
It's a 36" barreled, 20 gauge / .62 caliber smoothbore flintlock that was simply a shortened (by 8") version of an English Northwest Trade Musket.....and was quite popular among our Natives as a canoe gun and scatter gun.

finally got it out today and man oh man Thomas Turkey and Mr.Deer better look out @ 25-30 yds.......
the #7 threw a beautiful pattern and the .595 round ball accuracy actually surprised me.
gotta work on the buckshot pattern/load and the #4 load as well......but there's time.

WORST factory trigger i've ever had/used/felt by a long shot......but I can improve it.
