Not sure about their currant stuff but bout7/8 years ago I bought a ton of it,due to the price an not being well informed on the brand,at the time it was called patriots supply, taste was real good,WAY better than wise but not as good as MT.House...The big complaint the was their serving size for 4 people was in reality only good for two, the calorie count was way low,so beware an look at the serving size an calories, make sure it adds up to whats really necessary to survive in good health....Easy to ck.ya need about 1500/2000 cals a day, just add up their #s.As I said it does taste good....

LOL just looked an they still admit that ya get 1253 cals a day after saying a bunch of other BIG #s to trick ya...But if the taste is still good its a fair deal just double the order an you'll be good...

Smog:
I'm set with MRE's and Moutain House, this was for late to the game individuals who are still looking.
Most places have little in stock and have long shipping times.
Both places are in Utah I noticed.
Had to eat WWII C-Rats at times in the Army so my palate is pretty much shot.
I can survive on MRE's wife will also when she gets hungry enough.
Thanks for the link..

LOL,it tastes way better than wise at least it used to.The name seems to change alot but usually has ''Patriot" in it,as I an many others have found is that the taste is/was good but the calorie count was half but then so was the cost, your not getting cheated when/if ya buy it but ya half to buy twice what ya need..

The serving size is the least of my worries... Ive split one of the Mountain House 2 serving packs between my wife my 2 teen aged boys and myself just to show if things really got rough we could make do with less than expected. Best case scenario is I wasted a ton of money on something I will never need.

Every time the world doesn't end and things get back to normal I start on the
older MRE's rotate and replace.
MRE's in cold storage will last for 20 years may not taste as good as fresh but
you will not starve.
I eat them everyday during deer season and during the winter when the gun
wants to go out side for a walk.
Don't know how the mask thing will work during deer season {if we have one}
white mask on the face will look like the flag on a deer's a$$.
Do they make white camo masks?

Who:
Where you are at you can carry water, where I'm at it can get to
20 below during the winter I do not need water with an MRE.
I haven't tried much Wise not enough of it has meat.
Augason farms makes pretty good stuff.
Your wife might like this site.

r80rt: Dinty really you'll sound like a tin can factory in the woods.
I'd have bears chasing me through the woods looking for lunch.
I love the stuff, but pop a can open in the trees and every carnivore
in 10 mile is headed your direction.
Bad part here they would call it illegal baiting.

I remember being a kid, 6th grade-ish, waiting for the next earthquake so we could raid our earthquake survival kits just to be dumb-asses.... just waiting for the day that we could make ourselves sick on a stockpile of Vienna Sausages.

You folks realize with the change in culture here in CA there is a list of foods we ate as a kid that the new generation has never experienced?

I work with 20 year olds that have never had Spam, Deviled Ham, Vienna Sausages or liverwurst among many other foods.

Most also do not know that they could can their own food.
Mason jars have mostly disappeared from grocery shelves.
Still use my big chief smoker for whole turkeys the great
grand kids love the stuff.
Smoked beaver in a pot with some beans make for a good meal.

A lot of people still can their own food here, canning supplies are readily available. I agree on the smoker, my little smoke house gets a lot of use. I've never smoked a beaver, but they grind up and make great chili.
