Post Your Quarantine AR Builds

Just finished my "Mk18-ish" 300 Blackout build. Post yours!

The Parts
  • Colt M4 mil-surp upper
  • PSA M16 BCG (nitrided, basic USGI handle not pictured)
  • Anderson forged lower
  • Anderson stainless LPK
  • Daniel Defense RIS II Rail (FDE)
  • B.A. Hanson 10.3" 300 Blackout Barrel (1:7, nitrided)
  • Pistol gas w/ low-pro gas block (0.750)
  • SBA4 Pistol Brace (FDE)

Most likely throwing a simple XPS3 w/ magnifier on it for optics. I still need irons, not sure what to grab. Grabbing a .30-cal suppressor, I like the SOCOM SPS-300 or Gemtech. Any suggestions?

Working on an AR-10 right now. DPMS lower, Geissele 2-stage DCM trigger, forged flattop upper, Krieger 1/11", 20" stainless barrel, going to go with either midwest or ALG float tube.
Trying to build something that will shoot M80 ball accurately, and M852/M118LR very accurately.
My version of the SR-25, which I miss.

Recently started to rebuild the DDLES 9mm build.
Currently running a non-reciprocating side charger, 4.5 barrel, QC-10 handguard, Kaw Valley device. Decided to get as short as I could and used an LWRC ultra compact tube, have a Heavy Buffer on the way with spring. This lower has seen about 7500 rounds, its on its third facelift. AimPoint H1 on a ScalarWorks mount.

I built a new upper for my mp5 .45 pistol. I used the cmmg rotary bolt system. A huge improvement over the Olympic blowback system. It eliminates the heavy bolt and buffer so you can use a standard buffer all of which decreases the recoil forces and also the forward slam as the bolt goes back into battery. The build was the usual, my dpms slabside upper, a linear brake, the cmmg bolt and 8 in bbl. Initially ran ok but then started having fte’s. A call to cmmg and the rep sent me a drawing of their ejection port. I opened mine up to .630 which worked. Then I started having ftf’s where the bullet was hanging up on the bottom of the feed ramp. Guess things started breaking in so close dimensions changed enough that it mattered. I broke the corner and polished the ramp which seems to have cured it. Runs fine now.

That thing looks amazing. My buddy build a 4.5" AR9 and says it's hands-down the most accurate AR he's ever shot. Says he can hit quarters at 100 yards. I want to build one just to see how a blow-back AR feels with a super-compact profile.
