I got the new Rubber-Armored Mini-scope from CDNN and mounted it on my Ranch Mini. It has a red lit-reticle and is about a 4X I believe. It has flip-up lens caps, and just looks really nice. Well, it's a shooter!!! I was hitting Sprite cans and GI JOE dolls at about 100 yards. Since we all know that Ruger's scope rings SUCK, I gave up on those POS and got this little wonder instead. It threads right into the side with no problem. It didn't come loose, either. I also got one for my Shorty AR. I would say get one of these. I use my Mini a lot in my boat, so the Rubber Armor thing is quite cool!!!

How about a link to the scope on the CDNN sight. Also, who makes it? How was it to get it zeroed in? Is it a steady/solid mount?

www.cdnninvestments.com Then go to Optics, then go to Ruger Mini-14. I am sure it is Chinese, but it is called "New Target Sports." It is a VERY solid mount, very thick steel, and it has a knurled knob you can tighten with pliers-use a washcloth to prevent marring the knob. (I hope I don't get SARS from it !) Believe it or not, it was just about centered right out of the box!!! It was right on with windage, and just a little low at 50 yards. At 100, it was a little higher, but still low. A few adjustments later, it was shooting just fine!!! It is a beautiful little scope, very handsome in its Rubber Armoring, and the Red Lit Reticle is VERY bright on its higher settings. The built-in flip-up scope covers are nice also. Like I said, I also got one for my AR. It was just about zeroed also!!! Very little work needed to be done!!
