July 18th, I should have a reliable and fast Internet connection for the first time in years. I live about 8 miles from the nearest switching station, so my phone line is horrible, lots of static and noise. This translates into a slow connection that often disconnects.

I've signed up for our new county wide wireless Internet. It works pretty much like a cell phone, with towers throughout the county and a little satellite dish at your house. Speed is 512 kps, and the cost is $35. No cable or DSL available out here, and satellite is about $50, so I think it will be worth it. The only danger is I'll park my butt in front of the computer more often after its installed.

Good luck with it. I cannot afford the newer services,i even turned in the cell phone thinngs are slow,i have bought ammo with some of the left over money. Bobby
