I've managed to aquire a nice Springfield '03 (1918), a sporterized Springfield '03 Mark I (1920) that I'm in the process of restoring and a Remington 03A3 over the last few months.

Since I happen to be a big fan of the 30-06 round and of bolt action rifles it seemed to be the natural thing to do.

So now I'm wondering who all here collects them as well?

Unfortunately this section doesn't get much traffic. :(
I have 3, and Smith Corona and a Remington A3 and a Springfield 1903. All recent purchased through CMP this year.
I too am cleaning up the SC, getting ready to re-stain the stock after de-greasing.
Let us know how it turns out and post some before and after pics!

I've got a poor old sporterized Springfield 03 Mark I that I am restoring. Just waiting on 2 more parts for it and then comes the fun. Can't fix the holes drilled in it on the side for a Pachmayer scope mount (weirdest mount I ever saw - it swings up!), but can make it look relatively nice again.

Got a nice Springfield 03 - some dings to the stock (one small gouge) but in pretty decent shape and not cosmoline city (thank god).

And I got the Remington 03A3 that's probably about 98% in regards to overall condition - just needs one little screw (I'll find one for it at the next gun show or order it from Numrich). It has one scratch near the muzzle (sigh) and a small chip out of the wood up there - other than that the thing is about as clean as one could want.

Will try to take some decent pictures of the 3 and post them this weekend.

And I'm envious you have a SC - ah well I'll keep looking...

$425.00!!!
First by the time I found a match where I could qualify to get a CMP rifle they'd probably be out

Second, that's more money than 2 of my rifles put together cost me!

Heck the poor sporterized Springfield has been the most pricey - I had to pay out an extra $100 for a stock and the parts to go with it.

But it would be nice I admit.
