I want to restock on some 5.56 Winchester Q3131A made in Israel by IMI. Very good stuff, a little better than Federal XM193 in my rifles (which is also good).

Anyone know who currently has it in stock and can ship fairly quickly?

I'm 'on the fence' about this Win Q3131A ammo, because the Lake City/Federal XM193 has been very reliable as well. I might try to get some of the Federal as well.

Anyone know of a good source for either one? Both are 55-gr. FMJ boat-tail, mil-spec. The Federal has NATO headstamp and might be older. The 3131A has Win dated brass and is 1999 and newer.

Help or opinions appreciated.

Eric of www.ammoman.com will fix you up with the Q3131A-the A designation means that it was produced in Israel. The stuff is all right, albeit a little prettier than Federal's XM193-but the Fed stuff is hotter and a bit more accurate than the Q3131A for me-accurate for commercially loaded ammo, that is. It is a std. 55gr FMJ, just beware of a certain lot made back in 1999 in which problems were reported with some lots-sorry, I don't have lot #'s with me, but you can check ar15.com and search the ammo board-it is a big help.

If you want the IMI stuff call Botach. This is good ammo. The price is not bad either. I may get some myself soon.
