thats a very very tough ques.
i love my bulgarian slr-100h (one good cop i know what you mean about those milled receivers) but it is a toss up btwn my norinco 84s and well i will be here all night so ill go with my first thought slr-100h. i have it decked out with stained wood to where it looks like the older russian ak's. im getting ready to put the sling swivel onto the rear of the receiver then it will look just like a ruskie issue.
only one good cop, i see you are also in s.c. whereabouts be pretty cool if you are close to chas. need some fellow ak lovers around here to shoot with.

Hey grady whats up livin in york S.C. not a whole lot of places to shoot my weapons around here (range wise) I do have a couple of wooded ranges I go to . Shotguns and pistols can go to the indoor range but the rest must stay out. I love my sa-93 and my slr-95 they shoot and feel better than any ak I've owned and believe me I've owned a bunch although the hungarians are probally the nicest stamped that I've owned. I am looking for a .223 ak of some sorts not a hesse to mate with the ar-15's I own. I'll probally go with a norinco or a saiga from chris at AKUSA dont really have a choice I cant find a milled ak in .223 around here too rare. I would like to go shootin with you grady maby soon I'm pretty low on ammo and cash because of christmas and the kids but soon that will change christmas is almost over. how do you like the norinco .223 grady shoot good???? if you can post some pics.:ar15: :ar15:  I'll be postin some pics of my baby's soon hopefully gettin a digital camera for christmas ..

1goodcop,
i here you about the $. i have gotten a good bit of guns in the last 2 months(got my C&R license) then got laid off last week.so im probably gonna sell some guns b/c a fellow i met has got a NICE stg58 and i want it!!!
anyway, you ought to search around the auctions for a milled mac-90 in .223 seeing as how privy you are to the milled receivers. if you cant find them or are to pricey(wich is probably the case) what about a sar-3 romanian a couple of wholesalers have them for 260 or 280.
im not familiar with akusa? do they have website ?
i would personally say if you got the patience to save up the $ i would go with the norinco 84s (make sure you dont get the polytech .223, it only accepts poly mags and they are rare and pricey). i love mine and the good thing is if you want to put on different muzzle attatchments, stocks hell anything but makeing it full auto you can b/c its preban. someone might chime in and say the mags for it are high to but i have found them for ten to fifteen $ here again patience.
i also might get a dig. cam. i will try to show pics of my 84s that the guy i got it from emailed me if i can figure it out so here it goes
ok i can not figure it out someone help!!!!!!!!!!

Got rid of my personal slr95 to make room in the safe for it,and don't regret it!!

onegoodcop, The Norinco 84's are very well made and I would take one over the SAR any day! I have an underfolder .223 and it's beyond SWEET!! I've recently seen thumbhole versions for around $400,and I thought they looked like they were otherwise the same as an 84.
