As this is my first time here I was wondering what this site stands for ?why are you here? Are you agianst anything such as gun control ext...? Are you pro goverment or anti or not either?
I like what I see so far but I belive it would be helpful to know alittle about this site.:2guns:

Bill where did I ask about Assault Weapons definitions? I don't appreciate being called stupid for asking what does this site stand for. You don't have a declaration of what this site if for or against and as a new member I would like to know are you anti south is that what the name implies or what? All I was asking was for a little clearity.By the head huncho calling me stupid perhaps this isn't the site for me there are a lot of gun sites out there and if I am to be seen as stupid mabie I shouldn't be here in the first place?

PerfectUnion comes from the preamble to the US Constitution:

Since I think that the US Constitution, and the original Bill of Rights (including our 2nd Amendment!) are the most important legal documents in our country, I paid tribute to the Constitution through the naming of the site.

Kudos Bill I can think of no better reason than that and if I can keep from looking stupid I will try to be a conrtibuting member on this site as often as possable.


The main reason I asked was because there use to be a sight called union somthing that was a anti south sight and I wanted to make sure for me as well as other 1st time visitors there was no confuision.Thank you for setting it straight.

I am really trying to compose a "tounge in cheeck" anti south screed just to get 2 guns goat, but just can't think of a good one.
How about this:
No this site isn't anti-south, except for the fact that we all know that people from the south "INSERT ANTI SOUTH LINE HERE"
Don't you know that "Union" is our super secret code word for hating all things dixie! Heck, its so super secret no one even knows it.
I hate the south so much, I even moved from Southern California because I don't want to associate anything south.
I won't even get on a freeway entrance that says "south"
Heck, people from SOUTH DAKOTA aren't even allowed to post here, that's how much we hates the south.

Hey 2 gun.........do not feel bad about foot in mouth. Have been there and done that. I agree with Bill on the statement that the site is for "This is a gun enthusiast site, nothing more".

To me its a sight to gain knowledge about shooting, customizing weapons for fun shooting, and just a place to talk with other gun "NUTS". It really blows my mind when I have worked on a project (weapon conversion - 10/22) and run up against a brick wall on some very small feature that I can not fix. Just asked the question here........and you will gain so much knowledge that is helpful.......course your going to get some wish cracker answers too..... , but thats okay. Keep ya going, until you figure out they were pulling your leg.

Heck, its fun, takes a little time out of some awful boring days, and you gain friends that will be there for a long time even though the distance is great and were only connected by a little old telephone line.........

PS: In reference to djskit statement........I sure hope he does not find out that I am from southern Idaho, I may be banded from posting..........hehe

Have to say, this site offers info and camaraderie which is available at other sites as well. But, seems to me, there is a lesser amount of negative posts. Perhaps that will change with added members, we'll have to wait and see.

It's a PerfectUnion of gun enthusiasts from all walks of life! I've been pleasantly surprised by the insightfull,and diverse spectrum of people in this forum who ask questions and share knowledge. I myself have had alot of firearm experience on many different guns,but I also know enough to know that I don't know everything. And I have learned some things from this forum. I also enjoy sharing the benefit of my experience with some,and hashing out opinions others. The world of firearms is EXTREMLY diverse,and can be very confusing. Forums like this help to sort things out.
