You didn't mention which manufacture of stock you're looking at.
But here's my story; I bought a used Houge overmolded stock for my Mini. Got it at a fair price. Buyer was a good guy. It's a good stock, works OK.
But what I found out later is that there is a newer model Houge available. And the new model corrected design issues found in the earlier design.
The current model of the Houge stock incorporates into it aluminum bedding blocks. The old model is subject to the synthetic plastic stretching and flexing under load. I would readily buy the new style Houge stock.
The old style Houge stock shoots well enough for tactical shooting. But it's not suited for tight target shooting.
