Well, to be perfectly honest, the only mags I have found worth the money are the 10 rds made by Pro Mag. Sold by fourfourmag.com. I have a 40 PMI that is crap and what I am told is that USA Mags are no better. I'd rather have a reliable 10 than an unreliable 100. The first 2 are all that count anyhow--then you have moving targets (those that are able to run). Besides, I can carry a 10 in a shirt pocket. Damn those beer cans anyhow!!!:usa:

Hey cop 369. I have read more negative about the triple k mags, than the others. For 10 round mags, promags are the way to go. They look high quality like Ruger mags, and mine work perfect. Course for hicaps, you can't beat rugers, but they are out of my price range $100. I have some PMI's they cost $39-$59. They work perfect for me. I also have some no names I got from cheaper than dirt. They work well, IF i leave out a couple of rounds, and load with the bolt open. With the cheaper mags it is hit or miss. Some can be used after reshaping the feed lips. I don't have any 40 rd mags, as they are kinda long for the bipods.

Triple K mags suck. Cabelas also sells western metal product mags and those are cheap to. The prices I saw on those when I visited Cabelas were extremely high. Buy a couple PMI mags you wont regret spending the few extra bucks.

I had 2 Triple K 10 round mags when I first bought my mini. They jammed every time I shot.
I now have 4- 30 round PMI and 1-20 round PMI. They all have worked flawlessly and hold the bolt open on the last shot. Good luck!

No one has made Hi-cap. (Over 10 rds) mags since Sept 13, 1994. All the hi-cap mags for sale now were made before the ban. I like PMI, The price on them seems to be going up $10 a year as they are getting more scarce.

Promags currently manuf 5 and 10 rd. mags.

Cop369. Don't know if you are or wannabe but my experience has been pay the premium and be glad you had the funds. I got a 40 PMI that is crap. IMHO the ONLY hi cap to get is Ruger or Pro Mag. The others will let you feel pain. Nothing screws up your sight picture like the impact of a bullet............:usa: As one who turned his back on a double 12 I know........Judge for Yourself!!

I'd stay away from the Triple K mags. I have 3 that I bought from Cheaper than Dirt and all of them jamb in my mini 30 on a regular basis. I have also tried a Western 20 rounder and that worked a little better for me. Eagle 18 rounders seem to feed ok but I had to do some work on them as the locking hole (don't know what else to call it) on the front was too large for the pin in my mag well. I have had great success with the Promag 10 rounders and well as the John Masen 10 rounders. The Promags seem to be the better made just from a visual inspection standpoint. Fourfour mags from this board offers some specials on those I believe. He also has great service.

While on the subject of mags here is a question for all the experts out there. I read ( I believe in American Rifleman) that Ruger never made any mags that hold more than 15 rounds. Yet I keep seeing people who refer to Ruger 20 or 30 rounders. Any thoughts on the subject.

They still make at least the 20 rd. mags today for LEO. I have seen some genuine Ruger 20 rd pre-ban mags at the Houston gunshow with my own eyes. They were asking $125.
