Sorry for the slow response Stache, I remember reading about some members replacing their slide spring with an after market spring, in an effort to reduce or eliminate the misfires with the steel, berdan primed ammo. The idea being a stronger spring results in a stronger firing pin hit. My own belief is a stronger hit on the steel berdan primer may result in shorter firing pin life. So I stay with boxed primed ammo. Hope this helps.

Thanks, cajungeo. If that's the case I'll leave it alone. I was thinking it might include a lighter trigger spring. Have you ever tried that? I've polished my trigger mechanism and it helped, but it's still pretty strong.

Stache, when Mike knifong did my trigger job, he said he stone laped the trigger group, and replaced the trigger spring. My trigger pull is at 3 1/2 lbs.
