things about titanium pins - most of what I have heard is from guys using the titanium pins made for glock by lightning strike. The only supposed advantage the titanium pin has over a steel pin is its light weight, which is supposed to allow it to lock quicker. I doubt that I woudl be able to tell the difference. However, it is my understanding that although titanium is a great substitute for aluminum, because of its strength, it is not any stronger than steel. Also I think titanium is even more brittle than steel, and perhaps not quite as strong as tempered steel.

As I understand it Titaniums light weight is actually a liability in a firing pin application since it doesn't carry the kinetic energy needed to light some of the harder primers. Mind you, this is hear say. I've never used one.
