I have a Marlin 60, with NO front sight assy. Could someone please tell me what thread the screw which threads into the barrell is? Your help will be appreciated.

You could tear it down and head in to your best local hardware store. Stripped down it's just a metal rod. Or go to the link below. we use Numrich gun parts for schematics all the time. I was just having fun with ya! I have a model 60 with an after market stock and a little 4x scope on it. Had since I was 14. That rifle killed more jackrabbits on the Colorado prairie than I can remember! Oh don't forget the thread locker, as I recall mine would come loose also.
