i have just purchased a stainless mini-14. it hasn't seen even one round yet, but it will shortly. i always go through a thorough break-in procedure with all my guns and i will do the same with this one. I've got a stock savage model 12 that shoots .43 @ 100yds. yes that's right a stock gun that shoots this well. we need to be realistic when evaluating the mini. this gun will never shoot like a competition gun. we cant expect it to either, the design isn't there. i will keep everyone posted on this subject. my goal is to prove to myself that i made a good choice by trading my slr-95 on a mini-14.

OK, let's see, what you're saying is you are going to break the barrel in right and see what kind of groups you'll get. Then let us know. Sounds good and no cheating. And don't sit around watching TV, go do it!
