I was looking at making my own hand guard with a picatinny rail on it, thicker than what you can buy so it would actually be touching the wood stock preventing any movement. I see Tapco has a gas tube with the rail made on it. Is there any movement in these or are they "rock solid" as advertised? I'll be putting a red dot sight on it.
