Anybody have any experience with the little Classic rifle? It looks real slick, but there doesn't seem to be any aftermarket things like triggers. Is it accurate? Does it compare with a 'built' Ruger with heavy bbl and custom stock? How is the 3-3.5# trigger that they claim to come with. The groups they show on the T/C site are very good (surprise?) Thanks, Jim

I doan own one of them, but any thing Thompson puts there name and faifth in has got to be good. I have heard about them, but do not have any interest in purchasing one. Already have Thompson Contender single shot 21" match barrel and a 10" in 22 calibur. Romanian 69 in bolt action and a browning auto-unfired. My interest would be in the 22 just because thompson made it. My thoughts are that it would have to be a better than average. They do not produce junk and it comes with a life time guarantee. There are some other sites which deal strickly with 22 rimfire, and could possible provide experience information.

 I own one, infact it shot so good that my wife got one too. Yes they are very accurate, have decent triggers, and are a joy to shoot! The down side is they have a five shot clip. Not much of a problem hunting, but a hassel when target shooting. The craftsmanship on the gun is flawless, kinda pricy, but worth the money anyday! Ron

I just bought one not long ago.. from what I can tell, there is no need for aftermarket parts for this rifle. I think from looking at my first outing that this gun is going to give my modified 10/22's a run for their money.

there is little trigger creep on mine and the pull seems to be pretty decent. It seems to be really accurate.

in fact, I'm so impressed that my next purchase will be a Benchmark classic to go along with it.

I have a Benchmark, and I like it. I was able to get much better groups out of it bone stock than with my Ruger. Of course, I'm no gunsmith, so my Ruger mods may leave something to be desired.

Nothing after market for the Benchmark, but as far as I can tell it doesn't need much.

Mine is picky about ammo, but then so is my Ruger even after I upgraded the action.

Cheers and happy shooting.
