Welcome to the forum Banduk. There are probably a thousand different ways to clean a rifle. Two important things in cleaning the bore:
(1) use a good copper cleaner. I use Hoppies Benchrest copper cleaner. Avoid using ammonia type cleaners on Stainless Steel, as in time the throat will become pitted, and abrasive types. Sweets 7.62 is very harsh. Do not leave in barrel more than 15 min or it will etch the bore. I am also afraid of it getting down the gas port, and causing corosion in the gass block area. These can be used, but care has to be taken. I stick with the Hoppies Benchrest as it works for me.
(2)If you use a cleaning rod, then use a "bore guide" so the rod will not rub on the Crown of the muzzle. In time the rod will damage it, and accuracy will drop. I have a muzzle brake so I cannot use a Bore guide, so I use a vinal coated cable, and pull the patch thru from chamber, to muzzle. You can make one out of Weed Wacker mono. melt a ball on one end with a lighter. Thread on a patch, and feed free end of line thru chamber, and pull thru bore. (Thanks Coyote from our 10/22 forum for the Tip;) ). Hope this helps.;)

Ditto what cajungeo says about the copper cleaner-I alternate between Hoppe's Benchrest Copper Cleaner and Shooter's Choice. I see a difference after I get one set of patches looking clean after using the Hoppe's, then I use Shooter's Choice, and there's more crap on there. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Another option is a Boresnake or Otis cleaning kit-pull the "thing" through the barrel from the breech through the muzzle. I use them on my O/U's, works pretty damn well.
