Does anyone out there know much about how a Stoeger shotgun may hold up. I have been wanting to play with a SxS for sometime and I do not want to buy an older type. I want one that can take 3in mags for ducks and so on. That rules out most older guns like a Stev. 311. And I do not have the $ to buy a top self one. I do not do alot of clay shooting. Doves and a few other things that fly. I may go through 200 to 300 rounds a year. I was thinking of getting a Stoeger SxS to start out with to see if I like them. I did that with the over and unders. Got the Condor and after a season got a better Italian. I did the O/U thing for awhile and now wanting to get into SxS. Anybody have anything to say about Stoegers?

I have seen pix of them but have never picked one up. I found a nice used Stoeger Upland and bought it just before the 1st day of dove. I only got to run 8 or 10 rounds through it to test it out. I shoot south paw and when I got home I found it had a nice cast on stock on the back. All the more reason it felt just right. Anyway, the 1st day out in the dove field I got my limit in under 90 min. I never had a problem with it. So at this point I'm a happy and full guy. Thanx for your input.

I've used a Stoeger Coach gun for the last 10 years in cowboy action shoots; carried on my ATV when prospecting in the desert; as a survival tool; for defense in my bedroom, my camper, over on my ranch; and a LOT of campsites. At a minimum it's had 10,000 rounds put through it.

I've never had a problem with it and it's really been "through the mill" because it breaks down into such a "carry-along-able" package.

It's the first shotgun I grab 19 times out of 20.

It's the tool I've often bet my bacon on.... for real.

The Baikal shotguns are pretty nice guns for the money, you may want to look at those, too. Nice new double barrel for $250 or so, at least around here. I've not shot one of their side by sides, but I like their over and unders. I'm not saying its the best one out there, but I would say its the best in the price range.
