First, yes i know its rope!!

I used to work as contract maint on military vehicles like 10 yrs ago almost. We took care of everything they had wheels on. This was given to me so i took it home and its been stored up every since and i never knew what it was for.
So whats it for??????????

The metal pieces are length/tension adjusters. We used these all the time to secure tarps or as tent tie downs which I believe this particular one was used for.
