call them MURDERERS and CHICKEN SHIITES
but to honor them with a title akin to GYSGT Hathcock
and to many to name is a SIN:usa: :2guns: :ar15:

I don't know, jp. From what I've read, the name sniper generally doesn't conjure up the vision of a hero. I'm sorry to have to say it, but snipers have been generally looked down on. A sniper's life is usually a short one. In a military situation, the work of a sniper is immediately recognized and the opposing sniper's are brought in. Then it's training versus training and luck.

Sorry, I don't know GYSGT Hathcock's story. Maybe you could tell us about the man.

I agre that snipers were out of the box and militarily kinda distaned. But goverment, police , and other offical organizations have come to rely upon them.
As for GySgt Carlos Hathcock, being a MARINE,as I ,you can
read about him in "93 Confirmed Kills".
Vietnam era,the book also includes the Stalin sniper dual WWII.
Becoming an accomplised true sniper takes a special skill,
as did becoming a RECON MARINE.

A sniper is a trained soldier who is serving his country during time of war. Targets for snipers are enemy soldiers. The two punks in DC were merely criminals killing civilians. The news media wants to use the sensational label to sell their newspapers.

From what I've read, Lon Horiuchi should be tried for murder. He was at Ruby Ridge and Waco. He executed an American woman and a 12 year old boy at Ruby Ridge. He executed other civilians at Waco. (He wasn't the only sniper at Waco.)

Call Lon a hero if you want. If so, I think you'll applaud when when CBS reports that the FBI just neutralized a terrorist camp in Manteca, CA.

The camp held a "sniper rifle" (the politically correct description of a deer rifle) and an armory of disturbing proportions. An assault bow with matching razor-sharp arrows, a WWII collectible Mauser, a .22LR Ruger MKII pistol, and a 12 gauge dove gun.

The camp was occupied by a white male, his wife, and his trained daughter. Yes, she is potty trained.

Kali, sshhhhhhh.

If the Grey, Box,Stin anti constitution team hear of this they will ban all bolt actions. Forget the assult rifles, the bolt action sniper/deer rifles are much much worse!!!

Those serial killers had no purpose, no cause. They were murders, who enjoyed killing, they were not True Snipers. They only used sniper techniques to kill. After they are found guilty the victom's family members should be allowed to carryout any type of punishment they deem appropriate.

Have you seen the Carlos Hathcock version of the M1A1? Now thats a sniper rifle. It is called the white feather edition as that was his nickname. When the military elitists tried to send him on his way a disabled he had to prove his worth on the range. All he did to prove this was win Wimbledon in the most lopsided victory ever. They say he was in a prone position for 25 minutes bleading from his burn scars. That was the white feather in his cap that he derives the nickname from. He was able to then go into training true snipers. All the teqniques used today by modern snipers are his. Untill recently his 1700 Meter confirmed kill was the longest in world history.

His name is sacred by any standard.

There is another compelling book called Marine Sniper. It is in his own words.
