For everyone who's doing a lot more dry snapping lately due to the drought, here's why you should use snap caps. Don't know how many snaps it took to do it, but I'm just happy that my revolver's firing pins and breech faces were protected from the impact.

Time to get some new ones.....

Figure an average of anywhere from 8000 to 30000 repetitions depending on the gun. That is more than most people will ever do. Good for you for working at it and being smart enough to be using the snap caps.
