I was at the gun shop the other day, and the guy that works there was telling me to remove the sling hooks (?) on my mini, drill the holes through, and then use the quick detachable sling hooks to be able to take the sling on and off faster. Problem was that the hooks weren't big enough were it would be going through the mini, so before I did anything to my mini, i just brought them back. Anyone know of a great sling or set of these detachable hooks?

I bought my sling at WalMART its camo cheap cost about 7.00 and works great

Uncle Mike's makes a nice 1" leather sling that works great with a ranch for about $20. It is a military style sling.

va hunter, you got the same one I have. Its 1 1/8", but still fits the 1" Uncle Mikes QD swivels.

I cheated, I have a Hogue synthetic stock, so I installed a Uncle mikes swivel Stud, in the fore stock under the Forearm liner using a thin nut, and grinding off the excess threads. The QD swivels, and sling come of quickly for bench rest work. I also use this stud to mount my bipods. I just removed my Ruger front swivel cause its not needed. It works for me.
