My Buddy does very well with his Remington 870 Wing Master.

Same here, I have four, all Wing Masters, two set up for homestead defense/preditor control, one for waterfowl and one for upland that I use for skeet and sporting clays.

If it starts to get to you after a few rounds, take a hard look at the Remington 1100 Skeet. The gas operated autos really tame the recoil, and your scores will usually go up dramatically.

Years ago I met an old HS guy and he invites me to his club, no one there. We go to the Skeet range with his 1100 Skeet. My first and only round ever 24/25. Great gun.

LOL. I did the exact same thing with an old model 12 pump. So you are a good shot sir, lemme guess doubles at the 8 station? Oh I did back mine up with three more rounds. But I could not repeat the 24 because the guys with me and the range thrower were freaking out and advice for the prefect score was flowing!!!

I was a good shot that day but usually pretty poor. That was forty yrs ago and no more skeet since then and no memory of the details. Not a lot of shotgunning either but might start a little more. I shoot like a rifle. Sometimes ok.
