I picked up one from Midway just a couple of months ago myself, so I'm still new to it. I'm pleased with it and I haven't shot it. I'll put it to more use next year with more load development for my M1s and .308 guns.

Have you reloaded any of the Nosler 125gr ballistic tips for bolt gun? If so what was your recipe? Have you reloaded any of the 150gr ballistic tips for bolt gun and if so what was your recipe? What about the 168hpbts for bolt gun?

dvdstdg,

In my .308 bolt gun, the only load I've used consistently has been 43.8 grs of Varget underneath Sierra's 168 gr HPBT. Very good results with that. But, I loaded my last 100 rounds using Varget tonight. I'm out. Going to try something new in the Spring: VihtaVuori's N140 under the same Sierra bullet.

Westerville??? I'm north of County Line in Heritage Estates. :)

Where do you shoot? I have intended to get up to Delaware St Park range but haven't made it (yet). It is probably closed now. I understand there is an active club (100, 200, 300) around Zanesville that I may call this spring if time permits. I have a Remington 700 with the R5 barrel in 308. Just got it late in summer and it really isn't shot in yet, less than 50 rounds through it. I am in Overlook subdivision.

Delaware for the last couple of years, with my Savage 10FP and a SharpShooter trigger. Last day this season is tomorrow for Delaware: they will be closed during January and February. I'll spend most of my shooting time w/pistols at The Powder Room in Powell for the next couple of months. Generally there every Friday at 11:30 or so.

I have a 30 day pass to New Albany Shooting Range since I just picked up a CZ 75 P-01 there weekend before last. Should spend some (free) time there before that deal expires.

Zanesville, you wouldn't mean http://www.briarrabbit.com/index.shtml as the place, would you? Plan to get over there some time in the Spring, too. Also shoot once a year at the Lima Sabres club with a bunch of crufflers (C&R license holders). Also try and make at least one CMP shoot down at the Pickaway County Sportsmans Club in Circleville.

i just bought a prochrono made by competition electronics from scheels for 89.00 it has 9 strings with 99 shots each
and stats for each string are hi vel, low vel, extreme spread, standard deviation number of shots, avg vel, delete shot, and delete strings interfaces with optional digital remote control that has printer interface and a pc interface but i do not have the remote control.
i run a couple differnt cal through it the other morning with interesting results.
243win 24"bbl with h380 55gr nos bal tips with win large rifle primer at 26deg f at 2250 elevation.results were
hi vel 3910 lo vel 3864 with avg of 3890
ext spread of 46fps deviation of 23 fps
first shot 3864fps
sec shot 3898fps
last shot 3910fps
22-250 26"bbl with h380 cci200 primer 55gr nos bal tip at 26 deg at 2250elevation
hi vel 3584
lo vel 3472 with avg of 3540
ext spread of 112fps deviation of 59fps
first shot 3565fps
sec shot 3472fps
last shot 3584fps
kinad interesting to see how reloads are working and with the 22-250 the cci primers were on the old side but i have never found any loads i like with cci primers to begin with maybe this is why there is way to much deviation with them. these are the only real tests i have done with my chrono but for sure looks like a very good tool to have imho
