I am looking for input from anyone with experience with the Mini 14 scope sold by CDNN Investments. I am talking about the rubber armored 4X30 with side mount and illuminated reticle. They sell it for 50 bucks and my question is....is it a good quality scope or a piece of junk? I dont expect a Leupold quality scope for 50 bucks, but is this rig worth a try at the price (?). Also...is the mount strong? The pic I saw doesnt look very strong. Tell me something about it fellow powder burners.

Hey bravo, I'm not certain which mount CDNN offers, but it sounds like the B-Square, mount. Click on search, and enter
b-square many post will come up.

I normally recommend a name brand for the mini such as Leupold, Burris, Weaver, or Sightron. All have a lower end scope for under $200. You won't regret buying a good name brand. The only cheap scope I have experience with is the Bushnell 3-9x32mm sportsview. It cost $29 in 1986, now its about $39. It still works. I wouldn't put a target scope on the mini, as the mini isn't a target gun, by any measure. I like the tactical scopes, but they are out of range for me.
